For 90 years, St. Francis of Assisi Parish has been a place of prayer, gathering, learning, and service in the heart of East Vancouver. Within these walls, generations have celebrated baptisms, marriages, and milestones, offered prayers in times of joy and sorrow, and grown together in faith. We stand today because of the devotion, sacrifice, and generosity of those who came before us.
As we celebrate this extraordinary anniversary, we are also being invited to look ahead with hope and purpose. This moment is not only about honouring our past, but about preparing a strong and faithful future for our community. We invite you to take part in this monumental legacy with a contribution to our South-East Tower Brick Campaign, an opportunity to honour our shared history while helping build a strong foundation for the next generation to come.
$90 For 90 Years Brick Campaign
The restoration of our South-East Tower is a practical necessity and a powerful symbol of renewal. With more than 7,000 bricks, the tower stands as a visible sign of faith, welcome, and stability in our neighborhood. Each brick tells a story of commitment, prayer, and belonging.
By contributing "$90 for our 90 Years", which reflects the estimated cost to restore one brick, parishioners and valued community members are invited to help rebuild our church one brick at a time. Every gift, no matter the size, becomes part of something far greater than any one of us alone. All who contribute $90 or more will be acknowledged in our "90 Year Commemorative Program" created especially for our anniversary celebration. This program will serve as a lasting reminder of the people who came together to mark this historic event and will be made available.
A Lasting Legacy for Families and Future Generations
For those who feel called to make a larger legacy gift, we are honoured to offer four Large Brick Campaign donation levels. These gifts provide permanent acknowledgment within our church building and offer a rare opportunity to leave a visible legacy of faith for future generations.
Large Brick Campaign Recognition Levels:
• Platino Level — $10,000+
Donors will have their name individually added to an exterior bronze plaque on the South-East Tower, creating a permanent and highly visible legacy of faith and generosity.
• Oro Level — $5,000+
Donors will have their name individually added to a prominent plaque on the internal tower wall, honouring their contribution within the heart of the church.
• Argento Level — $2,500+
Donors will have their name individually added to a plaque on the internal tower wall, recognized alongside other generous parish supporters.
• Bronzo Level — $500+
Donors will have their name communally added to a plaque on the internal tower wall, a shared testament to the collective generosity of our parish family.
Names will be recognized alphabetically within each tier, ensuring equal honour among those who give at the same level. Gifts at these levels may commemorate a family name, loved one, community group or business, creating a legacy that will live on within the life of St. Francis of Assisi Parish.

This Brick Campaign is more than a restoration effort. It is the beginning of a renewed vision for St. Francis of Assisi Parish. As we look to the next 5 years, we envision a parish that continues to deepen faith across all generations, strengthens personal connections among parishioners, supports education and outreach, and remains a welcoming and visible presence in our local community. This campaign is an invitation for all of us to reconnect with one another both personally and spiritually, and to walk forward together in faith, trust, and shared purpose.
